Do you want to know some awesome locations for your next family photo session taken?
Are you stuck on ideas on where the best location is for your family photo session? That’s okay, I have made it nice and easy for you. A few things to consider when choosing a location is the time of year and also what you love to do as a family for relaxation. To make it easy for you, I have made a list of the 5 most popular locations that families just love for their family photo session. There’s a perfect location for everyone.
1. Family Photo Session Location No 1 -The Forest
By far my most popular location for familly photo sessions in Adelaide is in the forest, one of the forests is Kuitpo Forest located on the southern side of Adelaide. It’s a great location for families with young children, as there are some cool spots for the kids to explore, there is a secret foxes den, or maybe its a rabbit hole I am not 100% sure. What I do know is that the kids love it as they can explore, collect pine cones, go on walks and climb on top of logs. Does this sound like a location your family would love? Here’s a few sample images from some family photo shoots held in Kuitpo Forest

2. The Vineyards in McLaren Vale
The second location to have a family photo session is in McLaren Vale Vineyards, it has its own unique beauty. The rows of vines give a lovely depth to your family photos. It’s great for those sitting on rugs, cosy and cuddly family photos. The colours of the vines are amazing and just get better as the seasons change, from lush green to the to beautiful warm autumn tones. Can you see your family having their Family Photo shoot here?

3. The Beach
The third location for Family Photo Sessions is at the beach. Some of the beaches that I take your family photos at are Port Willunga Beach, Port Noarlunga Beach and Maslins beach to name a few. If you love spending time down the beach as a family then this location is for you. There are so many options when selection a beach location for your family photo session. From rocks and cliffs, to sand dunes, under a jetty and of course the water and sand. Beach Family Photo sessions take place early morning or the very last hour of light at the end of the day. Here are a few examples for you.

4. Trees and greenery, rustic buildings- walks and trails
Coming in at number 4 would is a green leafy tree area. There are a number of lovely spots around the south of Adelaide in the Fleurieu Peninsula for your Family Photo session to take place. The McLaren Vale shiraz trail and Pingle Farm trail in the Onkapringa are just a few. Depending on the season you might choose a lush green leafy tree or the golden wattle’s when in full bloom in July to August. You can even bring your dogs with you and include them if you so desire.

5. Home sweet home – your private property
Last but not least is your home. If you live on a property with some unique features and some land, then it can be very sentimental to have your Family photo shoot at your house. A nice gate, a historic verandah, a mini forest, a secret gardenbor just your favourite tree make for great locations as backdrops for your family photo session. Aart from the fact that the sentimental value is very high. Do you have a property you might like to have your next family photo session?bBelow are some examples from families homes I have taken.
