If your kids won’t sit still, your dog has a mind of its own, and your family photos are overdue, you’re in the right place. This experience captures that connection now — before your kids grow, your dog changes, and this season quietly passes.
We’re inviting children aged 4 to 18 to take part in our exclusive Kids & Their Dogs Project, photographed in our McLaren Vale studio.
There is a $75 participation fee, with $50 donated directly to the RSPCA, helping animals in need.
If you’ve been wanting to update your family photos and include your furbabies, this project is perfect for you. By taking part, you’re not only preserving your own family memories — you’re also helping other animals get the chance at theirs.
WHERE do the Kids and Dogs Photo Sessions take place?
📍McLaren Vale Studio
All sessions will take place in my Studio based in McLaren Vale on Tuesdays- Fridays and some Saturdays at various times
WHAT’S Included in the Kids & Dogs Photo Sessions?
✔ A portrait photo session available to book on weekdays and some Saturdays in my McLaren Vale Studio (valued at $195)
✔ A double page spread in our Kids & Their Dogs Book featuring our favorite image of your child and their dog and their answers to our fun questionnaire

✔ The option of including the whole family and or other kids in the session at no extra cost!

What does is Cost?
💛 $75 participation fee per child
Additional children (from the same family and in the same photo session) are $25 each for an extra page each in the book, not including a copy of the book
Sibling photos will also be taken if all children from one family are going into the book
There is no additional cost to add on family photos or include other children in the session that are not going in the book
🐾 $50 donated directly to the RSPCA
What’s not included?
The photos taken during the session are not included.
At your purchase appointment, you will see a beautiful collection of photos from your session with us, and you can purchase prints, artwork, albums and digital files.
You will also have the option of purchasing a copy of the 2026 Kids & Their Dogs book.
Special packages and upgrades are available exclusively for Kids & Their Dogs families, with the option to choose from our regular collections. There is no minimum spend — our Kids & Their Dogs Special packages starting at $750. Or choose from our regular pricelist. Payment plans are available.

Hi, I’m Deb — photographer, master kid wrangler, and often called a dog whisperer 🐶
With over a decade of experience photographing families, children, and their dogs, I create timeless, beautifully guided portraits that feel relaxed and genuine. My calm approach helps kids and dogs settle easily, allowing me to capture both classic posed images and natural connection.
Based in McLaren Vale, I specialise in family and pet portraits that celebrate connection, personality, and the special bond between kids and their dogs — images designed to be treasured for years to come.

CAN MY WHOLE FAMILY BE INVOLVED?
You are welcome to include the whole family at no additional cost.
The image included in our Kids & Dogs book will be of your dog & kids together.
CAN I PURCHASE PHOTOS?
Of course, within 14 days of your photo session you will have your purchase and design appointment in my McLaren Vale studio, where you will view your images and here you can choose exactly what you would like to purchase.
There is no obligation to purchase photos, you only choose what you love. I won’t lie though most families fall in love with their photos and end up spending on average between $750-$1750 on custom designed wall art
We have both printed artwork and digital file options available.

Our print prices collections start at $465. We have digital file packages available as well as artwork packages. The average family spends between $750-$1750
IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A PAYMENT PLAN?
We offer super flexible payment plans options for no additional cost for any purchase. Subject to approval
WILL MY CHILD’S PHOTO DEFINITELY BE IN THE BOOK? CAN I CHOOSE THE IMAGE?
Every child photographed for the project will be included in the book. To keep the design consistent, we will choose the image. However, rest assured we will be picking our absolute favourite!
WHY ARE WE DOING THE KIDS & THEIR DOGS PROJECT?

We believe in celebrating the special bond between kids and their furry friends, and what better way to do that than through beautiful, heartwarming portraits? But there’s even more to this project: by participating, you’ll be helping to support the incredible work of the RSPCA. Here’s why we’re so passionate about this cause:
- Support Animal Welfare: Every session fee goes directly to the RSPCA, helping them rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. Your involvement makes a real difference in the lives of countless animals.

A few Important things to note
- The Kids & Their Dogs Kids Book will be published so you must be willing to give us permission to display photographs of your children in print and online, as part of your involvement in this project. This will include the use of first names in the book and some other details of your children and their dog (nothing identifying). Please discuss this with us if you have any concerns.
- The Kids & Theirs Dogs participation fee of $75 per child and $25 for each additional child is due in full to confirm your booking and is non-refundable.
- We aim to finish photographing for the project at the end of October and hope to have the book ready in time for Christmas 2026.
- Your booking is subject to terms and conditions and other policies which you can review during the booking process
